This PowerPoint presentation and student note guide handout contains 23 slides introducing Evolution and a 7-page handout for students to fill in during the lecture. I have used it with Freshmen and Sophomore Biology classes. It includes the definitions of evolution, the scientists who contributed to evolutionary theory, Darwin’s journey on the HMS Beagle, geologic change, natural selection, and evidence for evolution.

This presentation with class discussion would take 70-90 minutes in my classroom, depending on the depth of discussion. The student note guide is included as both an editable Word document and a PDF file.
